I also use an 8-inch chef’s knife for big chopping (onions, cauliflower, butternut squash, etc.), but I love this slightly shorter knife (6.5 inches) for everyday chopping and cutting of fruit, veggies, garlic, and things that don’t require the length of the 8-inch knife.
